Process over perfection. Intimidation-free, always.

An open-ended artistic process gives students the opportunity to see the world through their own unique lens, fostering a creative spirit that runs on intuition.

Our classes are designed to hero the creative process, with very little focus placed on the finished product (even though we create beautiful things). With gentle guidance, exposure to mixed-media art materials, and a freedom to explore in an intimidation-free environment, students develop art literary skills with an ease and a confidence you may not find within a step-by-step, critique style program.

Things you’ll see in class:

  • inspiring artistic examples

  • age-appropriate materials & tools

  • teacher-led demos

  • transparent expectations

  • ample time to explore

  • one-on-one guidance

“Art is a place for children to learn to trust their ideas, themselves, and to explore what is possible.”

Mother Nature –
our muse.

Wild Meadow’s nature-inspired classes inspire a creative process that is innate and natural within us all.

Mother Nature morphs how we see light and colors as she moves through the seasons.

She provides her bounty; beautiful found objects, such as sustainably sourced nuts, seeds, sticks, fibers, rocks, pigments and plant life.

Mother Nature influences classical and modern artists alike with her dreamy landscapes; forever teaching artistic principles like composition, scale, value, light/shadow and storytelling.

Creativity itself ebbs and flows through cyclical rhythm, teaching patience with grace and displaying beauty with imperfection.

It’s this connection to nature that drives our creative force.

psst.. Wild Meadows uses the term “wild crafted” when referencing foraged art materials from natural, often local landscapes. (more info on F.A.Q page)

Made for them, the Wildlings.

age 5 – teens

Parents, the Wild Meadows art classes have been uniquely designed for the needs of your Wildlings. Our studio classes are offered for kids as young as age 5.

As budding artists, your child’s creative needs will be ever changing, and I’m here to help guide and foster a deeper relationship with art through the love of the natural world.

With practice (I call this the process), patience (making lots and lots of “bad” art), grace (showing up & good attitudes), and a whole lot of fun (community & laughter), our innate creative expression can flow from us with ease and confidence. I strive to make all classes approachable to a mixed skill level, intimidation-free (always), and have plenty of room to explore new and exciting concepts.

psst.. Bring your preschool aged children to our FREE Parent-and-Me style classes. These community classes meet at local parks and are open to the whole family. Registration is required for participation!
